Mother India is a labour of love, first opened in 1990 by Monir and Smeena Mohammed. Our ethos is based upon the simple idea of authentic, high quality and delicious Indian home cooking served in a relaxing, welcoming and comfortable dining environment. Our ongoing ambition is to provide the best of Indian sub-continental food at affordable prices, and we work extremely hard to maintain and constantly improve upon these standards.

Throughout the years, as out business expanded, Mother India has become a real family affair. Our experienced team of talented chefs work constantly to expand and refresh our menus, whilst retaining our established favourites and offering specials created with the best seasonal produce and freshest ingredients we can source.
We endeavour to make sure the dining rooms are unique interesting spaces, coupled with friendly, efficient service. On any given night you will find food lovers from around the world, mixing happily with regulars and local first timers.
